Waiting for my Pal in the black hole that is the CFO. Thought I would introduce myself. I'm hoping to meet some others involved in sport shooting so I can be guided in the right direction as far as clubs, leagues?, firearms and possibly meet some people to shoot with.
A little background. I was/am involved in mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I was hit as a pedestrian by a woman with mental issues. She crushed both my knee caps, obviously making my sport/career a little more difficult. I still compete at the National/provincial level as well as teach but because of the accident I can no longer dream of doing it for a living or representing my country in that sport.
Enter sport shooting. In my profession I work with a lot military. They have mentioned sport shooting - 3 gun, IPSC, distance and another I can't remember the acronym for and they have been pushing me to compete because I would still like to represent my country in some sort of sport. I have been really reluctant because of all the hoops I would need to jump through but I eventually caved and am now in the process.
