Hello everyone just thought id drop ya all a line... im new to the game... thought this site could let me meet some new ppl interested in the same thing as me, amd i could learn a bunch -have a good one:dancingbanana:

I live in Chilliwack BC and im interested in shooting trying to figure out what my first hand gun should be been looken for something reliable and a good starter hand gun

well, I have a sw mp 9mm. I like it, its a pretty sound gun as well.

are you yhinking revolver or auto? .22 or a bigger cal?

your best bet is to go to a few ranges and shoot alot of different guns. this is a good site to get people's input, but much should be taken with a grain of salt (as I'm sure you know)

Welcome to the sport

:50cal:

There is a club in Chilliwack, this wednesday evening they are having an I.D.P.A. session at 6 p.m. There are many types of pistoles and calibers being used, and the folks there would be more than willing to talk to you and help you get started in any type of shooting discipline that interest you.

Check them out and have fun.

Welcome. You'll find a lot of information and opinion here. First guns are always the ones that get agonized over more than anything that follows. Get something that fits your hand well. 9mm is relatively inexpensive, but in cost and generally learning how to shoot, it's hard to beat a .22.

9 m.m. It's true

:50cal:

Usually 9 m.m. is the caliber of choice of many shooters because it is cheap to feed your pistol with. The best way to shoot for free is to reload. Dillon makes greeat machines here is there web site:
http://www.dillonprecision.com/
However; Lee and RCBS make the cheaper types of machines, either way whatever caliber you choose to shoot reloading your own ammo is smarter and cheaper, and it is interesting to do as well.

Thx for all the advice been looken at a nice 9mm to take to the range... I have got one on my mind and been looken into for the past lil while a S&W MP9 tell me what you guys think of that particular gun.... THX

M&P 9 m.m.

:50cal:

Put 87 thousand rounds through it, first time I cleaned it, today.

I never had one problem with it, factory ammo and reloaded.

Great pistol.

You can get a brand new SR9 for about $550 plus tax if you can find one as their new to Canada as of last month. I like it better than the Clock 17 and It's less money. I have a new un fired one that I might sell for $600 my cost.

okay thx man for all the help.. il give em a call sometime this week... or mahbe just go for a journey 2 van for something 2 do.... where do u go shooten at

M&P 9 m.m.

:50cal:

Well as I said I put thousands of rounds through my M&P 9 m.m.

Well today I decided to try something new, considering it is made of polymer and stainless steel, rust is not an issue.

I filled up my ink with dish soap (ivory) and scrubbed the gun down with a nylon brush, it took five minutes.

Used some compressed air to blow all, the water out. Total of five minutes.

Put some oil on and in the barrel the stainless steel parts and bam, I was done.

Took the gun to the range and it works great.

Combat tup pur wear gott luv it
