New to the Sport, some questions about the Norinco M305

I bought a norc as my first rifle and i don't find the recoil unpleasant at all. I shot some other .308 rifles and found them much worse. I think because the norc is heavy, which for the low recoil i appreciate.

I also followed the advice of buying a .22lr, a savage bolt mark 2f, for the cheap ammo. I put peep sights on that too so now i have the exact same sight picture and similar windage settings on both rifles. Bought them from tech-sights and they work great.

OP, you will love the m305's. Granted the only tough part is feeding them; Canadian tire sells federal ammo for about a $1 a round. Reloading is a hot topic around here, and will save you money.

My advise to you would be to buy a new m305 and attend one of the m14 clinics run by Hungry and m14 doctor. There are some small tweaks that can be done to these rifles to really increase there accuracy on the cheap. Or find a used m305 on the EE from some one who has already done the work *less fun approach*
