New to the sport

Hi there just wanted to say hi from Alberta, just new to the sport. Looking to get my first 12 gauge, what would you guys recommend for me?

Welcome! I guess it depends on what your experience is, what you intend to do with it, and what your price range is. Those are some very key variables that you should figure out. From there, posting a thread in the shotguns forum should help pinpoint the perfect gun for you.

you can't go wrong with an remington 870 they can be set up (differnet barrels chokes stocks what ever) to do pretty well any thing

I bought a Mossberg 535 last year and have had great luck with it. It shoots 3.5" shells and down, slugs, comes with three chokes IC, MC, and Full and the action is smooth and works every time even with the cheap 3.5" shells!

It is a pump, but a good inexpensive all round 12 guage.
