New to you CZ858 from Wolverine.

Picked up mine today. A couple of scuffs on the beaver barf, open half-u front sight, bayonet looks used, sling is definitely used, mags look new, mag pouch is used but at least I can get the mags in and out (last one was new but so stiff you couldn't use it). Well worth the $1000.

There is a marking of a twin tailed lion on the side of the gun. Czech government requirement on all Czech made guns. The year is right after that marking. Example, X13 would be 2013. X08 would be 2008.

Awesome posts and pics!! Got mine last Thursday and put 60 through the tube yesterday. Worked great no hang ups no nothing! She is a beauty! Managed to find some NEA flash and Breaks and tried them as well yesterday, Found they didn't fit the greatest but man the crusader was loud and the Neutral flash hider had a awesome tuning fork ring to it every time you dropped the bolt and when your fired it! So far very impressed being a first time CZ owner! Now if only NEA will start making parts again it will be boss!
 
So these guns were manufactured in 2013. Someone told me that these guns were the ones held by CBSA when the gun was prohibited and I thought he might be full of #### until I see what year these guns were made. If 2014 or 2015 then he is full of ####. 2013 and he may be telling the truth.
 
So I thought I'd post a pic of the twins just since there's so much talk about the wood bayonets not being available. There out there if you're willing to look hard enough or get super lucky and find one in the most unlikely place....

Mr. Wolverine has previously confirmed that your friend is, in fact, not full of ####. These are the guns that were held back.
 
just got mine today, the rifle is in awesome shape!! All mags and mag pouch are new, bayonet and sheath are in decent shape, sling is well used. Couldn't be happier with it!! A big thanks to wolverine. Anybody else get one manufactured in 2012?
 
After an overnight soak in fluid film the front post now turns to raise my point of aim (damn progressives). Added the knurled brake and hope to get out in the next couple days to try again.

 
I ordered some fine accessories for my new gal and they arrived in the mail yesterday:

4 NOS mags: because mags to a gun are like shoes to a gal - you can never have too many (and I'll be stocking up on these over time).
Ambi-Mag Release: For the purists, this is a Czech made part, and some issued rifles had this upgrade.
2-Part Muzzle Brake: Again, Czech made part. The story goes these were used in trials and issued in very small numbers to select units, but were too expensive for mass issue.

Off to Europe on vacation for a couple weeks on Friday, so the ordering spree is on hold for the moment. How far is Uhersky Brod from Prague? I might want to make a side trip to check out my new gal's place of birth.
