My buddy has decided to become a full time bowhunter so he asked if I wanted any of his rifles.I've had my eye on this for 10 years and after many drinks of whiskey and ginger ale we agreed on a price.It is a Marlin model '94 in 44-40, serial # points to 1905 manufacture.Not the best looking but is tight,no bubba has been to it,good bore and original sights along with a box of ammo and even 3 bird shot cartridges.Now I just have to call in "sick" some day this week and take some "range medication"http://

Very nice. Are you planning on trying to clean her up and restoring or just leaving it the way it is?

I'm going to shoot her the way she is for now.There is a lever shoot coming up and from there I'll decide whether to leave it the way it is,refinish it or move on to the next one.I come from the bought it, shot it now whats next thought.I'll shoot something and then sell it or trade it because there's so many rifles and so little time
