new toy Mossberg 500 thunder Ranch

Just picked up a Mossberg 500 Thunder Ranch figured I would share with CGN super excited to shoot some rounds tomorrow.
Looks very well made the action is impressively smooth for a Mossberg. I'll give my thoughts on this again soon.

It was a bit pricey but hey buying a new sling and tri-rail Picatinny fore-end would have brought me up to around the same price $490 all in.

i love my 500. none of my or my friends monkey fisted antics have been able to trip it up yet. glad i didn't pop for the 590a1a11aa milspec special porpoise

Not too shabby at $490. I'll be getting a Mossberg myself sometime soon. Got the itch for something with a big bang! I miss my old Winchester 1300 Deffender... I sold it with my other toys when I got out of shooting some 18yrs ago.

And one more thing while we're at it... What is the overall length? On the Mossberg site it clearly says 31" but there was another site I was on (name of the website had thunder ranch in it) and there it was saying it was close to 40"

I love Moss 500's, think they are great for the money. My Moss 500 Persuader is similar to yours except for the bubba stuff (although I do like the look of it), $250 shipped on the EE, unfired, BNIB. I got a pretty good deal. It still makes my buddy say, "OOH YA, Mutha F$$ka" with a Polish accent.

Myself I'm a mossberg man, wouldnt mind getting my hands on a blackwater and thunder ranch for fun.

Soon2Boost, you should be aware that the accessory mount on the fore-grip may jamb your thumb on recoil.
I removed mine (on both sides of course) off my Blackwater 590A1 after the first range trip.
Mossbergs are great SGs for the money! Enjoy yours.......

I have a few Mossy 500's and love them all, some basic, some tacticool but thats a great looking little shotty out of the box, congrats on the new purchase.
