New toy, SAM stainless commander

I just recently bought the SAM Thunderbolt .45 ACP Stainless V2 from Wolverine Supplies. It's an absolutely beautiful pistol and feels very well built BUT... I've had it out only once to the range and put 100rds through it. Only one mag (8rds) of the entire 100 cycled all the way through without some sort of stoppage. The biggest issue was that it couldn't seen to completely chamber another round after it had fired and ejected the previous one. The slide would come forward and stop about half an inch shy. Has anyone had a similar issue??

It could very well be a mag issue, did you use more than 1 mag?

another 100 flawless rounds down the range this morning.

aiming is getting better, clustering about an inch and half to the left of POA at 7 yards. i don't think i'll regret this purchase for a long while.

one thing i do notice is that trigger reset is a little gritty.. maybe it's time to clean.

Grats on a beautiful 1911....
I dont have a 1911 in my collection so im hunting a good budget one..I came a cross the Sams at wolverine supplies and did lots of research on them and the Philippine gunsmithing prowess...It seems the phillipnes have one of the best Gunsmithing folks...
Wolverine have yours now on special for 520$..I love SS fireamrs and looks like the Quality of the Sam rivals your Rugers and the R1s...And definitely a notch over the Norcs...
From reviews and forum posts i know so far that is a tightly build gun with a good fit and finish...Im still debating between the Sam and the full size Ruger sr1911...
The Sam looks like a better choice..

I have a SAM Commander-E which I bought used from the EE soon after they became available and it remains the most accurate of all my pistols, I had to replace the mainspring due to light strikes at about 1500 rounds and the only time it jammed was when I tried to shoot flat nose reloads.
True story.
Would I buy another one...well I don't need to this one works great.
