I finally got my papers and was able to pick up my very first 9mm pistol. I already had a blued Ruger Mark III and after much reading and research I was able to get a hold of this nice CZ-85 with Hogue Grips installed.

Sorry for the pictures, they have been taken with a crappy webcam.

The chrome slide is really neat. :pirate:

I'm really happy about my purchase!

Any other CZ lover around here?

Nice gun (crappy picture, get a real camera :p). I also just decided to buy a CZ85. Waiting for the transfer. :( I already have a pre-B CZ75 but I bought the CZ85 to comply with the rules of IPDA shooting (my CZ75 has a BoMar rib).

Thanks a lot guys. This is a fine piece and can't wait to take it to the range, I've been able to test 50 bullets before buying it but I was not as confortable that I will be next since it's all MINE!!!

CZ pistols have such a great feeling when shooting them. First time I shot 9mm earlier this year I tested a CZ75B and at 7m (I know it's pretty close but I was a noob shooter back then, I always shoot at 13m now) I tore the center of the target.

Nice pic and nice gun! I like 2 tones pistols it gives a slight "pimp" look. I like pistols for what they handle but I firmly believe that of you don't "love" the look of the gun you won't have as much pleasure shooting it.

You ever thought of putting some after market grips on it?

Cz 75 & 85

I traded some items for a great CZ75 and it's a great gun. The CZ's are well made and I havent met anyone that complained about them.
I like the blued models but mine is the enamel or baked on finish.

Great first gun, now you need a 22 for plinking or working on your shooting.

I already have a .22 pistol that I bought a few weeks ago. It's a brand new blued Ruger Mark III with the 5 1/2 bull barrel. Very satisfied with this purchase as well. Great shooter, plus my girlfriend loves to shoot it since it doesn't have any kick in it.

At my local range a lot of people are sold to CZ pistols, many CZ75, SP-01 and a few Kadets as well. Plus there's an gunsmith that comes to the club and his main brad is CZ. Guess it's a CZ lovin place !!!

Yes very true, CZ is also highly respected by many other brand name forum. Like the fellow shooters in Sig forum, they rate it very high.

I just got an 85 Combat and I think its great. Very accurate, fantastic trigger and great sights (FO front and rear). I will use it for Production Div. in IPSC and ESP and SSP in IDPA.

Nice I might thought of getting into IPSC but not until next year. I will try to develop my aim. I'm a noob shooter but so far my improvement in the last weeks as been noticeable. Better group with great range.

Practice makes perfect!

I think grey laminate would give it a nice unique look. Never seen CZ with these kind of grips before. But since you're two-tone maybe it would be best to install grips that will enhance the two tone further. Grips that will be comfortable and that will match the slide maybe?

Never been very good with colors!
