New toy: STI Range Master

I've been wanting a 1911 for a while and i knew it would be some kind of an STI, so I finally pulled the trigger on a Rangemaster. I guess it sort of limits me if i ever wanted to compete, but i can't see that happening in the near future. Anyway, just picked her up, stripped and cleaned her. Very tight and smooth as expected. Can't wait to shoot her.

And with this purchase, my own personal economic stimulus program must now come to an end, at least for awhile ;-)

I picked it up new from Freedom Ventures. Those guys are awesome to deal with. I would have considered buying used but nothing has come up recently. Though, just my luck, of course there is now a Target Master on EE which I was also interested in.

The Range Master is an amazing gun. It's the sort of gun that makes OK shooter's look good and good shooters look amazing.

I like it great.Very accurate with a nice trigger.I had a Dawson F/O front sight installed on mine..I like the weight of the pistol as well.....

Have one in Hard Chrome 9mm and a Sentry Hard Chrome 40 S & W on order. They are one of the best bangs for the buck. Can't say enough good about them.

Nice. The hard chrome looks really sharp. If they made the Rangemaster in 40, i would have probably gone for that.
