ok, time to fess up, only the specs of this thread are true, I had my buddy showing me how to use photo bucket and we decided to have some fun and and add the rest to see what kind of responses we would get back, thanks for the couple of laughs and some names of some more gun makers,

rifle is really $5000.00 us and I bought dies, bushings, bullets, rings, bipod, and a formed hard case and shipping for another $700.00, and I got a sweet deal on the Leupold

although I had fun I don't want to do an injustice to Jered and Patriot Arms, they gave me great service and exactly what I wanted in a rifle

I did try to go Canadian but couldn't get what I wanted up here so went south

I really don't have an attitude and if you catch up to me on the range I'll be happy to give you a few shots so you can see for yourself

I await the rubukes

I don't have it yet, but Jered has broken it in for me and all the bullets keep going in the same hole

he has built one similar to mine but not as fancy and it is wearing out a 10" plate at 1000yds

give me another week or two and it should be in my hands and I'll post some pics of targets

check out his article in special weapons issue april 2006 for all the specs

Very nice indeed. Whats the recoil like?

less than a .308, his muzzle brake is WICKED, if you stand to the side and are a right angle and pull the trigger the gun will only move about 10" backwards, he says the best thing about the recoil is that you can watch the rounds hit and adjust real quick, I can't even do that with my .308 a-bolt

what the f**k ?

the gun it'self was $5000.00 us and no one in Canada can top this one

WHAT THE f**k ........ are you for real or what ?. Ordinarily I refrain from getting into such discussions HOWEVER a comment like yours tells me you are either a complete (FNG)="f**king New Guy" to the precision long range game or even worse a (Subject matter expert) = "Read it in a magazine" . How many guns have you had built buy "Custom Builders" in Canada the USA or elsewhere-ANYWHERE ? your comment sounds like it is based on ONE rifle you haven't even handled yet, slow down Chum and get some experience behind you with "Custom Builders" Canadian, American or other before you go out and Provoke folk with broad baseless comments -

ED.

Just because you think you rifle is the best, doesnt make it the best. . . And why couldnt a Canadian make that gun?

LOL

have a good one,
Allan

Let me start with this small but very destiguished list of Canadian buidlers who could infact build a rifle every bit as good if not better.

HWSNBN
V-BULL PRECISION
PGW

And there are more.

Now for US builders:

IRON BRIGADE ARMORY
GA PRECISION
TEXAS BRIGADE ARMORY
NOR-CAL PRECISION
TAC-OPS
ROBAR
MAC-BROS

That was quite a silly claim made in the thread you started considering the "other" talent out here.

For crying out loud, Patriot Arms has rifles on gunbroker that have been there for over a year and not been sold!
