That is a really nice looking rifle and I am sure it will be everything you want it to be.

There is enormous talent both in manf and assembly of rifles for both tactical and competition right here in Canada. Go with what floats your boat but don't sell Canada short just because they don't get alot of US press.

As a word of caution, if that rifle will move backwards 10" during firing, not only will you not be able to spot your own shots, you will likely have a broken collar bone or worse when shot prone.

From shooting alot of big boomers, I can tell you that it is not easy to spot your own shots with this high of recoil off a bipod. The muzzle brake design looks ok but it is still going to push quite a bit.

The only way to know is to make noise and hopefully, a full report will follow in time. have fun...

Let me start with this small but very destiguished list of Canadian buidlers who could infact build a rifle every bit as good if not better.

HWSNBN
V-BULL PRECISION
PGW

And there are more.

Now for US builders:

IRON BRIGADE ARMORY
GA PRECISION
TEXAS BRIGADE ARMORY
NOR-CAL PRECISION
TAC-OPS
ROBAR
MAC-BROS

That was quite a silly claim made in the thread you started considering the "other" talent out here.

For crying out loud, Patriot Arms has rifles on gunbroker that have been there for over a year and not been sold!

You forgot Keith Cunningham
Mick McPhee
Gailard
Bill leeper
And a host more that I can't remember at the moment thqt will do as good or better a job for far less.
Oh, and your pal had BETTER be wearing out a 10" plate at 1,000 that is hardly there for a precision rifle!
I had Rangesports Unlimited ( Kamloops B.C.) put Ron Smith barrel on my Browning falling bblock as a long range hunter and plinking rifle, and it will do that no sweat.

There are many long range champions , builders , and shooters alike on this board who have been there, done that for many decades, and what you have stated is untrue, egotistical, and simply B.S.

Drop a group into a target in a competition or at a friendly get - together and you will see......

omg $10k?!?! what a waste of money. there are soooo many custom builders out there who could give you a gun thats just as good if not better for a lot less. if i had $10k to burn on a gun id be hunting for a sweet 50cal, not waste it on something smaller like this.

Nice unit, no doubt. Your enthusiasm reminds me of a newly married husband who thinks their wife is the purdiest around. Age and grey hairs will temper that. You'll soon realise that all have a degree of beauty - it's about fit, how well you work together.

Oh.. what's a custom harris bipod.

Definately a nice looking gun. I hope she's lives up to the price tag and that you're capable of doing your part.

Because I have one and you never will!!!! ........................

Let's see, one gun at $10 000.00 or ten guns at $1000.00 each, or even 20 guns at $500.00 each...............whatever turns your crank I guess.

I can't agree with your title. There are other people on this board who could pick up a $10 000.00 gun before breakfast and pop back for another one after lunch; they just don't brag about it. It's called "class".

Enjoy your rifle.

is PGW not currently supplying the custom rifle needs of canada's snipers ?
if i recal corectly our snipers are regarded as one of if not the best in the world.
its a nice looking rig but there are quite a few custom rifle builders here that could have built it for you for less and still had the same nice looking rig at the end

Just because you think you rifle is the best, doesnt make it the best. . . And why couldnt a Canadian make that gun?

LOL

have a good one,
Allan

Yet what a bad attitude!

10" at 1000? My box stock TRG-S did 10 inches at 1100, but that was without a sissy bipod (Cat was there).

So this thing is at least as good as the Sako that I paid less than $800 (CANADIAN) for! WOW, have I gots a deal for you! Of course, I had a fancy $150 Tasco on mine, so the whole package came to ALMOST $1,000.

Geez, tough crowd.

Maybe the guy is wearing out the middle 2 inches of that 10 inch plate at 1K.

Let the guy enjoy his new blaster will you?

We all know that we have world-class gun plumbers here in Canada and those that don't would never buy a custom rifle anyway.

Don't jump down the throat of a proud new daddy, let him enjoy the experience. It is often better to be happy than to be right.

Nice blaster dude.

catnthehat,

Those are just the builders that popped right into my head, but you are correct and I know there are more.

This was as stupid thread and the corrections and the title change clearly show that, not good at all.
