I picked up a nice little Marlin Guide Gun in 45-70, I hope tomorrow is a nice day. :) It's time to send some big slugs down range.:D The barrel is only 18.5 inches long, I hope I don't burn my nose hairs off.

Hey Davey, is yours a stainless guide gun ?? If it is I will give you some cash and my blued version......:D

Nope, just the blued GG. I traded it for a .357 Ruger GP100 a year or so back. I have had some fun with it but it doesnt turn my crank all that much(allthough it is a great rifle to carry in the bush). I like the 22" Marlin that I own and would happily make a trade for another plus some cash or an 1895 Cowboy with the 26" octogon barrel.

Way to go guy!!!:D What say you, me & hs4570 get out to the range for a
'.45-70 shoot?:)

45-70 Gg

Got back from the range a short time ago, the stubby Marlin shoots into 1.5 inches at 100 yards.:dancingbanana:
420 grain GC cast bullets over 40 grains of IMR 4198, this load get your attention but it's not nasty to shoot.:D
