I decide to trade in my M&P 9 that I bought last year and never liked and sold my Browning Buckmark to get two new toys for the range.
I wanted another short poly gun to replace the M&P and the Walther just felt great in my hands. When I got it to the range I was super impressed...easy to shoot, very accurate up to 25yards and small felt recoil. It's also super easy to take down and I like the decocker.
The Sig is just as sweet and accurate. The sight frame is a bit different so that took a couple of shots to get used to but once i understood it was great. I was disspointed that the slide did not stay open after the last round but I think my thumb might have been resting on the release. Whoops. I love the night sights (sig sights) and the short reset trigger.
I have pics but no image site to host them from...I'll have to get on that. Sorry...and they are nice pics too!

Congrats! I'm debating on which Sig to get and it came down to the Elite Dark, Mark 25 and the 226R w/ 22LR combo kit from Arma-Coat. Does your Elite Dark shoot 6" below POA and can that adjustable rear sight move that up to 6 o'clock hold? I read that the screws on the rear adjustment sight have a tendency to work loose over time.

I have not yet tried to adjust the rear sight but do want to sight it in as a 6 o'clock hold since that is what I prefer and most of my other pistols are sighted like that. I'm not sure how much play there is in that rear sight to be honest. Nothing came loose yet but I only put about 100 rounds through it this weekend.
I also looked at the MK25 (I liked the anchor) but I felt silly paying more for the little symbol...and the elite dark has the aluminum grips which fit my smaller hands better and I love the beavertail. It also has the srt which i recommend getting. I looked at a regular german made p226 but the grips were too big and for the $150 difference, I liked the elite better. The sig sights are super cool...very bright in the dark, which is, let's be honest, a novelty item because I seldom shoot in the dark! Maybe if we had CCW it would be more useful.

I'm seeing the MK25 cheaper than the Elite Dark the last few days and yeah, that little gold anchor is cool. The downside for me is trying to find a holster that fits it due to the picatinny rail. The Elite Dark's adjustable sight, beaver tail and SRT trigger is a big plus. Hummmm.... Looking forward to your next range report. :)
