Well finally after years of messing around with the Lee trimmer that came with my anniversary kit I decided it was time for an upgrade. Opted for the Lyman universal case trimmer with carbide cutter. Ordered it on amazon Tuesday night and had it at my door this afternoon. Free shipping and fast shipping that's what I'm talking about. Got a chance to try out the trimmer on a couple dozen cases after work and damn is it slick. Got the power adaptor as well and no doubt it'll speed things up that much more. All I can say is I should have upgraded a whole lot sooner. Who else is running this trimmer and what do you guys think of it?

I use the Lyman Universal trimmer also but the plain Jane one, no power adapter. Still, I'm very happy with it and like you I upgraded from the LEE. You just can't compare those two, it's like night and day.

Same here. I upgraded after I got my 500 S&W as the cutter on the old Lee was too small in diameter to handle the 500 S&W cases.
I use a lee trimmer that sticks in the end of a cordless drill, grabs the base of the shell. Works like a hot damn, is there really anything thats more efficient?! I use a peice of rag and give it a spin and wipe the lube off and polish them up while they're in there also because i dont have a tumbler yet. Honestly works great!
