Just wait till the next step is announced, handgun bans by municipalities and central storage to remove the remaining hunting rifles and shotguns from the home. Women’s advocate groups are saying hunting guns are used in domestic violence and homicides, we're all wife beaters and murders in wait right? If it saves one life it’s worth the inconvenience of having to pay for the central storage of your bolt gun if it means you can still hunt with and “own” it.

Actually we should not chill. We should be outraged by this travesty of justice, regardless of whether shotguns are caught in the net this time or not. Chill? No. We are excited that this OIC is so poorly written that it might get thrown out entirely, and the fact that it may also include shotguns means that far more people are having their stuff banned than before, which means more support to try and get this ban overturned.
I don't think anyone is planning to turn in their shotguns.
