Just took my turkey course today. Got a Remmy 870 Express Mag, 28" barrel, mod choke. Don't want to spend a whole lotta cash off the bat. Got full camo from goose hunting. Was wondering if I could get away with a Full Choke (with i could use already and only $20) or should I invest in one of those extra-full turkey chokes. Plan on trying the Remmy Hevi-Shot in 3". I realize I will have to pattern it, but, what is good to start with????
Any suggestions for choke and or ammo???????

Give me a PM! I've got a Remington Hevi-Shot 12 gauge choke for sale slightly used in mint shape for a very reasonable price. If your using Hevi-Shot I strongly recomend using a choke designed for it. The standard full choke has an abrupt constriction that is cause "blown" patterns as pellets impact eachother and pertrude out of the shot cup slits down the sides. It is critical to have a nice gradual constriction to maximize patterns.

Buy Chilly Willy's choke!!!!!!!!!

If not, go ahead and try your full choke and see how it patterns the shells you are going to shoot.
