New Two-tone Norinco problem...

I've had my Norinco 1911 two-tone for a few months, and while I like it, there is one small problem. When inserting the magazine is basically gets stuck about half-way, and I need to press the mag release to get it to go the rest of the way. Just curious if anyone else has run into this problem.
Is this common with new 1911's? I think maybe bit of polishing inside might fix the problem?

Any info appreciated...

new problem with your gun or problem with your new gun? I don't know anything about Norinco handguns, but m14s are known to have some little defaults

That is typical of many 1911s. Put it in and heel it the rest of the way.

I watched the first link a couple times. And did anyone notice that he chambered a round and then pointed it at himself?? Also playing with a loaded gun in the house aint smart Wanker... Nice enough gun tho by the looks of it.

I have the same problem with my Norconia 1911 mags. I guess, it's "normal"...

Chi-com Junk.

Take the business end of a ball peen hammer and smack the magazine sharply. It'll work once or twice. Junk only works a couple of times...

Both mags with my 2 tone work fine, as do some others I have.

Can you see wear marks on themag to show whre it binds? Maybe a sharp edge somewhere?

I've had two brand new Colt 1911's and both required me to press the mag release to insert the magazine in all the way.

If all else fails back the grip screws out a little. My guess is the grip screws are the culprit. Regards, Richard

AND, they have really good warranty service!

Well, a Norinco must be as good or better then my (new) 80's vintage Colt Gold Cup: it did the same thing for the longest time. Then the front sight shot loose. My Norinco hasn't done this yet.
