Good afternoon Canadian Gunnutz,

We've just received a new type of 9mm.

Federal American Eagle Synthetic jacketed 115gr 9mm:

This is available in store or on the Website for $198.95 for a case 500 of rounds.

Thanks

Colin D

P.S. Ammunition doesn't ship at the flat rate, and will require a shipping quote be produced for the client and approved prior to the order being completed.

So they dispense with copper entirely (significant cost savings) and charge double for a poly-coated lead projectile. Maybe they think we're stupid enough to buy them because they look cool, lol.

Yah i don't get it. They (federal, not TSE) expect us to pay more for a product that must cost them less (otherwise why would they even make it?)?

Don't forget without flat rate shipping this will be really pricey!

Ill stick to copper, if this stuff comes in around the same price of Lead i will give it a shot.

I thought the whole premise of this new ammo was to be more economical with the by product of less cleaning. It's too bad, I was really hoping to give it a shot. Seen some great reviews about it.

I believe I seen this featured on last season of Noir by a featured lady 3gunner, I believe the idea was so that competitors could go the whole day with out cleaning their handguns.

Dont recall hearing about it being cheaper.

LOL... Competitors already go the whole day without cleaning their guns.... I've gone multiple days at a competition without cleaning

Afaik this stuff is just powder coated lead. It's a trick the ammo companies picked up from reloaders in the last year or so.

We're not impressed with the pricing as well and bought it primarily to use as range ammo. But some people were asking, so we put some out for retail. It is really really clean though and to be fair, it's not that much more than other premium 9mm ball rounds.

Good afternoon,

This ammunition is not a "cheaper" ammunition, and was never suggested to be. That being said, it isn't that much more expensive than other ammunition at the moment. It is a premium ammunition designed to be very clean and safer for use in ranges and on steel. These are listed on Federal Premium Ammunition's website as available in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP. At the moment we've only gotten the 9mm, so I don't know about the other calibers unfortunately.

Thanks

Colin D.

In my mind it is more costly, and not just a little bit.

its $400 for 1000 rounds. When regular stuff is on sale its often about $280 for 1000. Sometimes a little more sometimes even a little less. that price, plus the tax on that extra $120 is a significant amount of money. Again, at least in my mind.

not bashing, just an observation. If its truly a premium product it will sell, just maybe not to me
