New type of muzzle loader?

I'm looking for a bit of info on a new type of muzzle loader. While I was on holidays, I bumped into one of the local fish cops (NY State) and he told me about it. It's a new muzzle loader that doesn't use 209 primers, percussion caps, flint or anything. It's some kind of battery powered ignition system. He thinks it's called an electrica or electronica ignition. He had just quickly read it on his e-mail that morning from the state office. I tried googling it but no luck. I am a total noob when it comes to black powder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Seeing as it's CVA putting it out I may wait for some more reputable gun makers to take a stab at it.

So what do you do for a safety? Pull the battery out before you stuff the bullet down the barrel? Speaking of batteries, now there's another thing to go wrong.

Pretty cool! Thanks. I never heard of CVA. Is it a new company? Why wait for "another" reputable company to produce? Again, I'm only asking as I know nothing of BP guns. Thanks for the help,

CVA has been around for quite a while, looks like they are'nt producing "traditional Rifles" and targeting the inline market.
It's an interesting concept , do you suppose it's a better ignition for Pyrodex ?

What do you mean? Have you ever heard of electric shockers that use... 4-6 AA batteries?

No Thanks, Not for me, I have no problems with #11's or 209's.
Maybe for shooters who have trouble placing primers on nipples like older/elderly or those with sausage fingers.
But if your a gimmick guy this might be up your alley?
