So here's what I know so far.

- This is the latest gen Typhoon, just purchased new a couple months ago. Not the Maxi
- Took it totally apart and cleaned all factory grease out and re-lubed
- Ran 2 boxes of 3" mag #2 shot through it (my shoulder is still sore) followed by 200 birdshot, in basic single shot mode the whole way other than the 3" mag. Sometimes could get 2 or 3 in a row to cycle. When they don't cycle it the empty either hangs up on the way out and stovepipes or if it ejects it doesn't send the bolt far enough back to pick up the next shell from the mag
- Score 1150FPS seemed to cycle better than others, tried Challenger high velocity and handicap and Federal Super target
- Took it apart again as it still wont cycle reliably. Double checked dual piston was on the light load option, it was. Noticed the actual piston seemed tighter the further back it got. Mic'd the barrel and it is a few thousands thicker towards the breach.
- Cleaned up the inside of the piston and polished it, now slides better all the way back
- Used several different mags including the ones that came with it. All work the same
- I am going out tonight to try again now that the piston glides freely, but seems like I am having way more problems than most

When you say it's set up for light loads, you mean that the light load is pointed towards the breach?
When set up for light loads there should be less room and wiggle between the 2 cups, less gas bleed off, more pressure to cycle. When set up for heavy loads there is more room/wiggle to allow more gas to escape so there isn't excessive gas being sent back causing undue wear.
