If you're anything like us, you may have tried a few different night vision mounts over the years, discovered that they all wobbled, to some degree, and decided just to live with it. Personally I've run a Wilcox mount for about 15 years, with a few breaks in between to see if the grass was greener anywhere else (it wasn't). Recently that's changed, and I've swapped over not just my work mounts, but my personal ones as well.
Enter the Udapt F25 Mount.
Simply put this is the most solid mount I've ever mounted a night vision device to, period.
All controls are done with throw levers. While I still enjoy the fore/aft controls on the Wilcox shoe, I've grown to like the Udapt controls once I got used to them. Once I have my mount setup, the main control I use is the tilt to swing the device in closer to my eyes or back it out and away. It has enough fore/aft travel to accommodate a wide variety of users and devices, and be compatible with gas masks/other equipment. For those who like the Cadex mount for its wide range of adjustability, the F25 is near identical in range.
As someone who really liked the force-to-overcome mechanism on the Norotos Lo-Sto and the Cadex but found enough little things I didn't like about them to not run them personally, such as adjustment range, an unshrouded dovetail release, or ability to accidentally press the shroud release when trying to press the mount deploy button, this has solved pretty much all of them without adding new ones.
Construction is aluminum and titanium, really solid and so far no perceptible change in the FTO or other controls with a lot of time spent using it, plus many hours spent just sitting and flipping the FTO while watching shows or in meetings. The FTO is the best I've felt even with heavy devices, I've run it extensively with Panoramic NVGs and had no issues. I'm currently having the mount field tested for free-fall use with binoculars, should hear more on that soon.
We now offer a direct attach shroud that reduces total weight by about 50 grams if you are replacing a Wilcox shroud. This eliminates the last location of wobble in the mount between the mount and the shroud.
For you chimney fischer port NVG-Alpha users, there is a minor interference between the fore/aft throw lever and the remote power port, however reversing the lever direction still creates a lockup, so it will still work.

- Breakaway added (it's tucked behind the mount, so impossible to activate/deactivate accidentally, something that was an occasional issue with other mounts, but particularly common on the Cadex)

- Rock solid in general, compared to just about every other mount on the market, when the F25 is set up correctly, the only play you'll really have in it is potentially a little movement in the shroud depending on the shroud, compared to my old Wilcox (or new Wilcox) the difference in the amount of play/wobble is dramatic
