So... word is starting to get out from other vendors/importers on the forum that this is not exclusive to TI, and the msrp is $750. No FRT and no sample has been submitted to the RCMP yet. From the letter posted by the other vendor, the manufacturer is still in development or production of the shotgun.

TI, can you share more background info with those that have preordered? Are you doing this pre sale to speed up the process of getting a sample from the manufacturer to send to the lab? Sounds like the manufacturer will only send a single sample if there's a large enough " down payment" up front.

Wolverine already submitted one for FRT....

Only saying, I've done business with T.I before and their Team was top notch all across the board and I have no complaints in any way. And I can only imagine why would T.I. post on CGN that they are exclusive dealers when this was indeed not a Fact? Seem a little suspicious? I'd say Uzkon has pitted one dealer against another and W.S. certainly bought the bait... and has now publicly attempted to deface another Dealer with 'the letter' (bad karma). It's too bad two Canadian businesses couldn't actually work together for the better of the industry and call out the Turks for what they are - greasy.
Unless of course I'm 100% wrong on all accounts and T.I. has suddenly turned into a crooked business ??? ... (not likely)

I agree its not likely they have gone crooked, but they are demonstrating some interesting business practices with the T81 and UNG for sure. My favorite part is the limited time pre-order price of $860 (saving you over $200!), yet the other importer states it intends to sell with an MSRP of $750.

Well TI certainly doesn't have the buying power of W.S. so I can only imagine their margin would require a higher cut? And as for the T81, most likely a bad decision and now stuck with a ton of extra stock they thought would sell like CZ 858's ?

I do appreciate increasing variety to a Canadian market but its just a little to Nerfish for my liking.

Also not crazy about how any of the parties involved handled this(names & phone numbers are quite available). Its all been a little juvenile if u ask me.

Seems to me the only one with nothing to lose but everything to gain is the manufacturer.

Way to go TI, NAS & WS ;)

I was just thinking the same thing. Although I'm not really impressed with how 858's all of a sudden became "scarce" then the price went up to over a grand. An MSRP doesn't really mean much in a Canadian market where they have to take into account other factors like "import costs" and "limited runs". It all translates into........they can charge whatever they want when it goes on the shelf.

Exactly, so why does W.S. have to come across as an industry bully over a much smaller outfit like T.I.? For what any intelligent person would perceive as an Uzkon Sales person playing one dealer against another? Doesn't W.S. get enough of the cake? Like gimme a break... They're becoming the Walmart of the Canadian firearms business.

Except MSRP isn't set by the seller, it's set by the manufacturer or distributor. Their cut is supposed to be included in MSRP, not added on top.

The freaking M stands for manufacturers.SRP = Suggested retail price.

greentips should ban all sponsors who do this pre order garbage. big or small.

Im fine with a preorder in general. Full deposit on a gun that isn't even approved is going too far though, and they even claim its NR (status unknown) and exclusive to them! (From what i gather they didn't even submit one for FRT, Wolverine did...)

I was really interested in a bersa thunder, but now i dunno...

The Uzkon rep sounds cutthroat as well so I can see how they're trying to do things that only benefits themselves. Hopefully TI can comment on this whole ordeal and keep their customer base happy.

my choice, but I won't go through the hoops again like the arms east rpd and bushmaster fiasco's.

True true. Taken from the TheFirearmblog:
They’re promising an ambidextrous magazine release, bolt release, safety lever, and charging handle. I notice in the video we see right hand charge on the bolt like an old SA-80, but you can clearly see an FS2000 style charging handle on the left side too.

Video must use an old version... Stills from the video show a charging handle on the right, but nothing on the left.

Seems to me that Ti is crowd funding and probably got an offer from the manufacturer to cut out wolverine for the right price.

Really thinking about cancelling my type 81 preorder I have a feeling they didn't pay enough to get it going and now they're just earninh interest on everyone's cash

It has come to our attention that a few businesses seem to have issue with our UNG-12 pre-order and decided it necessary to make public posts about it, unfortunately painting us in a negative light. It is too bad public posts on CGN seemed appropriate instead of an private email or phone call to us to resolve issues, but alas we must respond before things get further out of hand.

It was communicated quite clearly to us by Uzkon that they were looking for importers for the UNG-12 as of November. Also at no point did we say the UNG-12 was exclusive, just that it was only available from us, since that was/still is the case. We have already clearly clarified our position on the FRT on post #84.

We will post our own correspondence with Uzkon so you can judge for yourself (emphasis ours):

"Attention To Mr. Nick,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your email and your interest in our products. I believe you have also visited our website and took a look at the products and the quality we have so I will go directly to the point. Since the event with Trigger Wholesale we have had a few conversations with other companies in Canada and some of them were positive obviously. We have also received orders from various companies about our products but for the UNG-12, we are still in the market and looking for importers in Canada. We have also had enquiries about the product but we are yet to agree with any company since the product release date is late November or early December.

Based on the information that I have, I understand that if you are interested in the UNG-12 you should apply fort he import license and we can send you a sample of the product. I am sure you know the procedure so if you can start the application procedure, that will be the first step of the journey. If you are also interested in a pre-order, we have a discount price for the pre-order until the end of November where the price of the UNG-12 will be *** USD and after November he price rises back to *** USD which will be the normal price after the product hits the market.

Another information I would like to point out is our payment terms. We work under the 50% pre-payment term and the remaining 50% is paid before or during shipment after we send you the shipping details and the AWB. These terms apply to all of our customers and may change later in the future according to the strenth of the business relationship we might have built at that time. As I mentioned earlier, we are still looking for importers of the product and we are also looking forward to your reply on how we can go on from here. It would be a pleasure to work with you and we hope everything will go as planned.

I would also like to ask for your cellphone number or your extension number so that I can contact you easily if anything comes up. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter and have a great day.

Best regards.

Muhktaar"

We had informed Uzkon we would be ordering placing our order at the end of the month.

Pretty sure the free extra spare mag and sling is worth more than the "interest" we're apparently using to get rich
