They are also good for sticking on the end of Surefire flashlights (or other flashlights I suppose) to protect the lens when mounted on a firearm or just banging around in the glove box.

I've got one on the 9P I keep in my truck.

Like when you're shooting a rifle with see-thru rings. You don't have to lift you head off the stock for a clear view.
