Hey everyone, just found this site while researching a good youth rifle for my sons who ,HOPEFULLY, will get to hunt for thier first deer this season. So far there seems to be some good info on here. I also wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions as to a good kids rifle and caliber and loads.

welcome, Where are you at? As for a caliber .243 is a good one for lt recoil and deer.

Welcome! .243 is a great calibre to start off with. Remington makes a youth version. It is the same as the regular models but has a shorter stock and only comes with the shorter barrel.
