I agree, they should be legal. In our current climate, what are the chances of anything like this getting an FRT # in less than a decade?

As noted, these are major $$$ and would be restricted, which is a line I won't cross any longer because of registration and the attendant confiscation issues that brings.

IIRC the open bolt BD38 sold in Canada years ago were around $4k at the time.

However, you are correct on the current pricing.

Barrel is super easy to swap as can be seen in the video... but add a few more hundreds to the price tag...

Yes, it is easy to change, but who is going to buy an 18.5" barrel BD-38? The only reason to own one is nostalgia/historical enjoyment and the long barrel ruins that completely. Just one more thing effed up by our ridiculous laws.
