New Video .......Magpul Masada ..............................................

I'll jump on the liking it too wagon.

Takes standard AR barrels - Sweet!
Looks like it could be Non-Restricted pretty easily with a 20" AR barrel.

The wait is the killer though.

I am still holding my breath for that Kel-Tec bullpup though hahah... I know, I know.
I am just aching for a .308 black rifle (It's the one thing I've wanted for almost 6 years now and nothing has been available fill - M1A/M14 is close, but not quite there).

But yeah, this Magpul rifle looks like the sh!t... :)

Not expecting to be available for at least another year, with 14-18 months being more realistic. A ballpark price of $1400USD for the base model and up to $2000 USD for the fancier models was thrown around when I was down at the show.

I'm not saying I invented all these ideas. It just that the rifle I was design incorporated all these nifty features and then Magpul goes and beats me to the punch.

The thing that pisses me off is every one is going to say I copied the Masada.

Mine is still in the running.

I dispensed with a bolt release by careful positioning of the cocking handle.

magpul is now saying that it will not produce the rifle UNTIL they get a millitary or LE contract. So its 18 months before they can start the production, plus the time to find and fullfil said contract and THEn it will be avilable. 24 months to the absolut minimum

Nice design on that rifle. If we can get those in non restricted form I'm in. :)
Put a 20in ar-15 barrel and it becomes non-restricted, and you can hunt with it and piss off a couple liberals along the way.

Just imagine how easy a caliber change would be with that rifle...no more special wrenches and special tooling. The entire gas assembly comes right along with the barrel etc...so all you are left with is a receiver shell just waiting for the next set of parts.

:D
