I think it is some kind of obsession here because everyone wants an Ak and we can not have one , so to make a cz/vz look like one is almost as good!

From Ironwood, regarding the AK style..

Yes, I am aware of the Canadian following of this product. We are almost there with the test cutting
I have had the question regarding doing other shapes that will fit the VZ. Initially we will be offering
exact reproductions of the original sets. I had spoken with one of your fellow Canadian VZ owners,
and had stated that we can make a Russian looking lower hand guard, with no issues.
Upper hand guard wil remain the same. Pistol grip, well, we'll see what we can do, considering the
combo grip cap trigger guard. We may be able to adapt one of our FAT pistol grips with that VZ top cut.
We'll have to see.


Regarding the butt stock, that is a different scenario, due to the way it mounts. Std. AK type butt stocks
do not lend them selves well to that mounting bolt system. But, we do make Yugo AK stocks that utilize a bolt
for mounting to the receiver. Only headache factor is the butt stock front end cap, as the stock is so small
in stature, it may look odd having a much larger stock body, with that puny little cap on the end.


Anyway, we'll see what we can come up with.
