New Wholesale Sports

I guess some people buy guns and then call them in stolen. Then sell them or use them illegally. It's nothing new, but some of the guys at wholesale just fringe when young people come in to buy or look at handguns.

I actually saw them refuse sevice to a teenager of whom looked like he'd just been in a tussel. It went something like this.

"Do you guys have any 9 mil"?

"No sorry, try next week"!

...kid walks away looking discouraged.

I then watched an older fella buy 2 boxes of Remington 124gr.

There's alot of that need here in Winnipeg. Those of you who live here will know what im talking about. Let's just say that Aerosol Hair products and mouthwash products find themselves as a behind the counter item and often refused to would be buyers.
I can understand why they would chose to turn away some potentialy hazerdous clients. I shop at both SIR and Wholesale Sports here in the Peg as they are pretty much my only options. I found to have had good service from both gun desks when i went. When they are crazy busy though, they might be a little on edge. Wholesale sports has lots of stock on their shelves for everything. SIR is starting to lack in that department. That being said, I still find myself buying most of my stuff at SIR.

Rifles - I find myself buying at SIR
HandGuns - Mostly Online through Armco,Wolverine or EE
Cleaning Supplies - Both SIR and Wholesale
Ammunition - Wholsesale Sports as they have MUCH more in stock atm.

Just the other day, I was looking for a .22mag Rifle. Stopped at Wholesale first as I figured that they had more stock. It tunred out they only had 1 .22 Mag on the Rack. It wasn't what i was looking for so I figured i'd try SIR, and there they had lots of selection ! It took me about 30 minutes of holding various rifles and still I couldnt seem to find a model that matched in what i wanted in looks and price. Then I pointed to one that was calling out to me, but for some reason, they had never taken it off the rack as an option for me. Well, as soon as i held it I was sold. Savage Model 93. This was one ###y .22 Mag and the price was digestible. Then of course came the scope, rings, bi-pod, sling, extra clip. Needed a few tums that night but i am very happy with my purchace. So ya, in a nutshell every store has their bonus points i guess. I wish we had a store like TSE here in Winnipeg. It would then keep my online purchaces down.

Cheerz
