I just got forced to buy a new made Winchester 1895 SRC the other day. Its one of the 30-06 anniversary carbines. Its very nice and I am looking forward to shooting it, but I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere.

The Win site doesn't have references to it, and I am not sure where it would have been made or when. I haven't seen much reference to it online or on CGN, so I am wondering how many of them are around, where they were made, how many they are making etc etc.

Anyone have any info?

I have a similar looking (but well used) 95 in 303, still a fun gun to shoot. On Accuratereloading, there is a 95 for sale that has been rechambered to 9.3x62, which is a pretty neat idea for a lever hunting rifle. Ken over at the Shootist in St Albert had one in 7.62x54R last year, but it was a bit too spendy for me. I do like the 95s though, very interesting design. - dan

Thats the one, although on the left side of the receiver it has "1906-2006 Celebrating 100 years of 30-06 Springfield" I didn't see anything on the box about Davidsons though.

As for the 1895 in general, I agree Dan, its a meaty and solid rifle. Greatly appeals to my sense of 'rugged beauty'

Both dealers in our area have a couple 16-1700 range sounds as though they had ordered them over a year ago and had almost given up on them, so they are new production just out.

This was the info I got as well, they were ordered long time ago, never showed up, given up for gone and then *poof* came in on a shipment. 8 only in town and I got the last.
