Here is the new Ranger 22LR lever action rifle, yes, it is made in Turkey , but I gotta say it is a winner. I bought two of these from accuracy Plus and the service and the guns are top notch!!

Wood to metal fit is excellent, lever action is smooth, metal black/blue is beautiful gun cycles and ejects like a 94/22 winchester, its well worth the money

Shot a few pack rats with it and the sights are bang on, note that this firearm DOES NOT feed or fire anything but 22LR, shorts and longs dont work in it.

Take down feature works very well, gun is worth every penny charged, so nice to have a Winchester 22LR lever again, regardless of where it is made, this rifle feels like a American made gun

It’ll serve its purpose I’m sure.

Should have supported the made in Canada savage Revel. Likely better quality, same price and supports one of our only made in Canada factory rifle offerings.
I do have a savage revel, aside from the looks its a great gun, however, this gun is as nice if not nicer than my revel, seems like better quality to me

Thanks for the quick review HH. What do you think of the finish on the receiver? Is it that soft matte black "paint" that we're seeing more of? Are the barrel bands plastic?
Hey Arco, good to chat again, the barrel bands are alloy anodized black , receiver finish is beauty, very nice anodizing, I'm actually surprised by how nice these guns are, was just out shooting one of the two i bought and i must say, Im very happy with them both, they seem like a good price for what you get, which as you know is tough to find now a days

Really eh?

I’ve handled both (mind you at different times and not side to side) and the fit / finish of the revel was nicer IMO. There was no contest between the smoothness of the action but I guess that could vary between individual rifles even

Here is the two side by side, both are very good quality, really not much difference , they are both very good, I personally like the look of the Winchester better

The only thing else I can say is, in today's times with prices the way they are, these new Winchesters seem like a pretty good buy
Thanks for the report Bruce!.....:)(y)

How much did these Winchester Ranger lever rifles cost?

I had these on order over two years ago at my gun shop. Browning/Winchester kept telling me they were coming. We waited over two years for them to arrive, nothing!

So I cancelled the 25 Winchesters I had on order.

Now that was two years ago as well. So it took three to four years for these Turkish Winchester Rangers to come to Canada? Brutal!:ROFLMAO:

In saying that, they do look nice.....:)

Does the lever has similar travel like Browning bl22? If so, I'm sold. Love my browning but we never have enough.
It appears the lever travel is approximately 75-80 degrees on this Winchester Ranger 22 LR lever gun.

Browning has a 33 degree lever travel.

Savage Revel Deluxe has a 90 degree lever throw.

The Savage Revel Classic now retails between $639.99 to $699.99.

The Winchester Ranger sells at $599.99.

They are both take-down models, however the Savage Classic Model has two captured pins that do not require any tools to take down.....:)

The Winchester Ranger will require a flat-style slotted screwdriver for take down....:)

If these Winchester Ranger rifles would have come in when I had ordered them a few years ago, we would already own one. However due to the fact they never showed up until recently, we bought the Savage Revel Deluxe Models instead.

Please note the Winchester Ranger has a length of pull of 13". This makes it easy to shoot for most everyone...:)

The Savage Classic and Savage Deluxe Revel Models have an extremely long length of pull at 14.5". I can attest to the fact this length of pull is ridiculous, unless you have arms like a gorilla.......:(

Savage really screwed up on this 14.5" length of pull....:( My guess is this will cost them sales once everyone figures this out!
