It will only shoot 22LR, it will not cycle 22 long or 22 short

I would say that i like look of the Ranger better, it simply looks higher end but the henry i feel is a better made gun and of course it cycles and shoots shorts, cant go wrong with either, here are a few pictures of the newest Henry I have(its a 22WMR but looks the same as the 22LR)

So after a long wait, I got to get hands on one today. I wanted to see one before I did a preorder.
These are much better than the current offering from Henry. ( I have Henry's ) just saying, finish is good to excellent.
I did not pull the trigger on one today. Reason is. How do you pull out the loading tube without a tool. I had 3 on the shelf I was looking at, all require +++ strength to twist the tube end to let the brass tube out. I would use plyers to twist it. I did not like this. Its actually a set back in my eyes. I know the 94/22 had a habit of loosing tubes. Is this why these are so hard, they made them impossible to reload so quick. Like to know what the rest of the CGN guys out there with one have to say.
I would buy one and would start a warranty to have it corrected. Might go back on Saturday topick one up.

Bought my Ranger a few days ago. I had already read your post, so that is something that I checked. If you push the loading tube in a little bit while you are turning, it turns easy enough. Here are pics of the ranger.
