Has a thread been started about the new NR WK180-C yet? I'm interested in the opinion of those with more knowledge then me.

Keep in mind they are not going to be sharing some particulars until they are out in the wild, no matter how many times and people ask.

These things are good value for the money and Wolverine stands behind their product - I can’t think of a better combination.
 
I like it. Only things it needs is a cover for the charging handle port not being used and a folding stock mechanism. It will all come down to whether Kodiac can make a fully functioning firearm. If they can, Wolverine will have Canada's best seller for the next year.
 
I think these are exactly what the Canadian market has needed for YEARS. It's basically the all metal equivalent of a SU 16 Tactical!

However, I also feel that once the prices of these grossly overpriced NR receivers like the SLR come down; they will still be a more popular option.
 
What makes them better than say a Benneli MR-1 or similar commercially available semi - auto rifle?
The Wolverine effort has a reciprocating side bolt handle, open cavities in the sides, many proprietary parts, and it is not based on the fabled AR design...?
Pricing appears fair and I am sure it is a nice rifle, but it goes against what so many were demanding...the lego NR AR.
Do not get me wrong; the more the merrier.
 
I put an order in for one. Aluminum receiver, semi auto, black rifle that takes some ar15 parts. I believe the stock, grip, barrel, and possible trigger are interchangeable. More options then the mr1 at half the cost. And I had an r1 and wasn’t impressed with the accuracy. Plus this kodiak defence Rifle is Canadian made, plus for me. Be my first black rifle, other then a t97 nsr. So the bar is pretty low for me.

A MR1 is $ 1600-2000 new!. thats wat.

Tough sell?
$1000 for a completed rifle that takes the AR parts that matter for less than a set of the nearest competition’s stripped receivers. MacAbaby could reduce the gouge to half off those receivers and these would still sell well.
 
The price is certainly right for a lot of people as a general rifle.

I don't think a bit of cosmetic change to the lower really matters to its classification. Since they are machining the lowers from aluminum plates, I don't see why they cannot cut the area behind and above the pistol grip a bit higher into a radius, so people can hold the rifle with a high tang grip and install whatever after market AR15 grips they want.
 
Maybe due to cost, but some contouring there would be nice.
