OK so just finished shooting the very first match in Canada. I had an amazing time as did everyone from what I seen. Talk about test you on all levels and shooting positions. Ten different stages that covered everything from silhouette chickens at 40 meters and rams at 100 meters to ORPS and CRPS stages to Paper targets at 50 and 100 meters to speed steel stages at ten meters . Want to test your skill and have lots of fun , give this a try and you'll be grinning from ear to ear. Four different categories to suit everyone. Anyone looking for a new and challenging fun shoot with rimfire, this might be the best of all worlds combined in one fun event. AWESOME Rickster66 and thanks for a really fun day. Check out Womfats Youtube videos on this. Cheers Chris

Do you have to run just one gun or is this like sporting clays where you'll have to pull a wagon around to be competitive?

Only one gun is allowed. The match covered all the basis of competition and was really enjoyable. I also liked the fact that we get to fire a lot more ammo in a day. I think once you give this a try it’ll be hard to let go. It will test all your abilities with a rifle. Everyone that I spoke with had a great time.

Seems they treated it as 3 events in the same match?

Nice shooting

Jerry
Yeah Jerry that’s exactly how it was! Fun.The first six stages consisted of silhouettes, prone and Crps/ORPS. Moved to other range and shot two stages of speed steel. Five runs with slowest run removed. An auxiliary sight is very beneficial on this stage. My scope on 3.5 and only focus to 25yards didn’t help a lot. Hint big dot and zero magnification. Then back to the starting range for two prone paper targets at 50/100meters. I think you’ll do very well at this platform

I have been looking forward to this event for a long time... unfortunately, the date in June conflicts with a major family celebration so not this year.

Definitely an interesting combination of events. Seems tailored to autoloaders unless the speed event isn't very heavily weighted for score.

There actually was a couple shooters with bolt actions and in the category they were placed did very well. What’s lost in the speed game is recouped in the precision sections. Pretty sure they medaled actually.

Once I have the budget to build a semi Rimfire that shoots as well as a my bolt, I’m afraid my bolt action Rimfire will become like my lever action, just a fun gun.

Looks pretty cool! I've been spending my efforts on my Bolt action .22 lately....... Is a SR 22 considered stock or mod? I see there is one at east elgin. That's getting a lot closer to home for me. These matches look like so much fun.

Interesting I have spent far more on my bolts yet my semi build groups ‘nearly’ as well. Depends what your after
