As stated earlier, I own an XCR. I've had it for two months now here in the states. I've only had one problem. The adjustable gas valve nut got loose and it and the lock washer fell off. Since the valve is also held in place by the bolt/ gas piston spring , it stayed in place and the gun functioned perfectly with the missing nut and lock washer. These two pieces were on ly found missing when I cleaned the gun. There were lost at the range for good. So all XCR owners need to check nut tightnees each timed cleaned. I bought the 7/8 in. nut at the local hardware. The harware bought nut looked goofy since it was silver plated anodized but it worked.
Called Robarms on Monday and they sent out another free of charge and reminded me to tighten it up or check it now and then. It took 10 days for me to receive the parts--but it was totally covered by Robarms including shipping.
I asked some questions to the staff when I called. First , I was treated very well. They asked me how I liked the gun. I found out they are a small operation of about 16 people. They told me they are very, very ,very busy and are very proud of their product. I believe they know their livliehood is depending on the sucess of this rifle. They know they are underdogs and thus must produce a superior product. I gleaned this info from three employees. The kept their word to me but it took 10 days to get the parts. I did tell them my rifle was usable with the hardware store bought nut. Chris in service told me he was pretty stocked up on springs and fasteners---ie hardware and could handle my request. I gave one suggestion that they put out together a small field repair kit of specialized hardware and springs that could be purchased by XCR owners. They thanked me for the suggestion and assured me that Alex Robison would hear the suggestion and asked if they could contact me if they had any questions.
Its hard to wait but a quality unique product may be worth waiting when its built by a dedicated hard working underdog company. I am impressed so far. 350 rounds fired-zero jams , misfires. Every time I pulled the trigger ---------it worked.
