New xds single stack 9mm 4.0

Did Springfield really drop the ball on this one by not being Canuck legal? I would love to have a single stack striker pistol due to my hobbit hands...

They have the barrel listed at 4-4.99 at irunguns but I can't find specifics on true barrel length

Springfield's site lists the barrel at 4.0''. Looks like the factory guns are prohib.

This gun is exactly what I'm looking for as well.
If we had a extended barrel for canada I'd be all over it.
I did a bunch of shopping for aftermarket threaded barrels and was unable to find one for this particular model. There are many for other xd models so I have high hopes that someone will manufacture one for this model.

I'd like to know this as well? I've not heard of any handgun barrel length requirements in any state.

I spoke with irunguns and its deff not legal here..emailed springfield about it and of course got no reply, just spam in return

I believe that California requires 4.2" on newly manufactured in order to make "the list", however I've been known to be wrong in the past...

thats not a single-stack XD-S, its a completely different model, XD-M double stack, regularly a 3.8" barrel it is outfitted with a extended Canada length barrel.

The XDS uses different barrels than the XDM models.
apparently the feed ramp is steeper
