New Years Sharps

Happy New Year. I haven’t had much time build this year but over Christmas holidays I spent quality time in my shop building a heavy Sharps. I took a Ron Smith 45 gain twist blank and took the minimum off the outside and octagoned it. The action is a C Sharps 74. The wood is from Treebone. It is coming along nicely.

So far it is weighing 14.4 lbs, i am debating putting a pewter forend tip on it next.

Top shelf parts too start with end up helping in building a REALLY NICE BPCR!
That wood will really pop once it is all done, great work, I have a couple of rifles with Treebone wood on the. yes, I too an interested o9n how Ron's barrel works out for you.
I have owned lots of his barrels chambered in modern cartridges but never one in a BP cartridge

Hi, yep that was probably me. It was a display of rifles I built.

What caliber is this rifle going to be?

It's currently a 45-70 but might become a 45-90 if brass become available.
