New Yugo SKS cleaned up

Most deck/wood cleaners you can buy in the paint section of your local home improvement/hardware store has Oxalic acid (in reduced concentrations) in it as well if you have trouble finding it.

How about using a Tru-Oil finish? If too shiny for your taste, simply knock off some of the sheen using very fine steel wool. I wonder what the Yugoslavs to originally finish those fine rifles?

I did a Tru-Oil and wax finish on my '53 Tula's stock. I used Howard's Feed'n Wax, rather than the recommended Birchwood Casey gunstock wax (which seems to be impossible to find in Canada). It came out paler than I expected, but I like how it brought out the figuring in the wood grain, and yes, I eventually refinished the gas tube too.

Edit - Also, if this is what Trade-Ex is bringing in, I'm super stoked. I ordered one on Monday and it should be here by Friday.
