I'm looking at buying a pistol for a gift to myself when i get back from Afghanistan and i was wondering what you guys would recommend i like the Colt 1911 and things in that style thanks for any help i don't know too much about handguns i usually stick to long guns

it really depends on how much you want to spend, how accurate you want it to be, how much you are going to be shooting it. i have quite a number of 1911's and i love them all, then again i also have a few sigs, 2 glocks, 3 s&ws and a few others and i like them all equally.
