Can someone please explain this to me?

Currently for sale on the EE:

Glock 35 .40 S&W in NEW condition with less than 100 rounds fired.

New? That sounds great! Oh, wait, so you've shot it then? Actually taken it to the range? I'm thinkin' that your definition of new and mine are different animals. So just when does "new" become "used"?

100 rounds?

200?

When bits start to fall off of it?

People kill me.

I could see "like new" or even "better than new!" but the fact that it says "NEW condition" (capitalized, even) says to me:

"Never fired by anyone who wasn't employed by the manufacturer."

'Like-new' would have been a better descriptor...

Generally "new" for used guns should have the term 'unfired' in there somewhere.

A gun with no finish wear that has been used should be classed as excellent condition.

The seller didn't lie because he didn't say NIB and also he stay that the gun fired 100 rounds, it just the wording.
