I see those scopes all over the place going for about $140-150:

They are supposedly mildot rangefinder scopes with parallax correction. Does anyone have any experience with them? I heard some horror stories like reticles falling off from recoil etc. about cheaper scopes. Are these in the same boat?

The cheapest, decent scope on the market right now is probably the Bushnell 3200 10X Mildot scope. These can be found for as low as $260.00 new.

In the main, you only get what you pay for in optics.I would say that those scopes you are asking about are pretty much bottom of the barrel.

Other then the scope I suggested, I would say the minimum amount to spend on a scope would be $300.00 to $350.00.

nc star scopes ???

i 'am in the same boat as you i can't find a decent scope that i can afford , personally stay away from nc star scopes , im looking for a scope with 8 x 32 x44 iluminated mill dot ,( white falls ) is a member on here , he sells mueller scopes they have been getting a good reputation for acurassy on some other discusion boards i've read , white falls also deals in barska scopes i can't find any sound info on them they come in the magnigication i want the warranty is a limited life time , i hope i didn't confuse you much good luck finding a scope , ps mueller rates very well as a varmint or tactical scope solid and precise cilcks of adjustment

That would be my guess. Can't say as I would trust them on anything over a .22, but thats just me. You can do alot better with say a bushnell legend series for about the same cash and a better more consistant scope. I remember people speaking of these scopes a ways back and they were a real hit and miss item...some had good luck others terrible. At best I would say they are a gamble and I personaly wouldnt take it.

Just an opinion
