Newb AR-15 conversion question

Good day, as we all know the Trudeau dictatorship has outlawed our AR15's with a promise to "buy them back" from us (the fact that the azzhole and his azzhole government never sold them to us in the first place is an irony we're all well aware of.).

We've been told to keep them in our lock-ups and cannot take the recently prohibited platforms to our local ranges to enjoy, however I see some interesting conversion kits being sold on Canadian gun dealers websites!? These kits come with 3, 25 round .22LR converted magazines that fit your AR-15, as well as a .22LR BCG. It's apparently as easy as replacing your Bolt Carrier Group (BCG), and you're plinking away with 36 grain .22LR?

So, my newb question is; if someone were to buy this conversion kit and put it in their hypothetical AR-15, would that someone be allowed to take it to the range? Do the conversion kits miraculously alter the gun's designation from prohibited, to restricted...non-restricted?

unfortunately putting in the conversion kit wont change it's alleged status, even tho no legal owner has gotten any legal documents changing the classification from restricted to prohib. But I could stand corrected about that. I'm in the same boat with rifles I " Can't " take out to the range.

Negative. The AR 15 and all variants (as debatable as that concept is) are prohibited regardless of caliber. Without the OIC being overturned somehow they are stuck in your storage. Only permissible way to get them out currently is to sell them for export.

So if you got no documentation saying it’s prohib, what would be the charge, if taken to the range?

If we were living in the UK; Your idea would be legit.
That is actually how the laws are there.

In UK; You can legally have a .22LR semi-auto AR-15.
But if it's a center-fire caliber; it needs to be converted to manual action.

But in Canada; The AR-15 is banned outright.

There’s a few options still.
Best one is the MS set, they pop up in the EE every now and again. It will use all your AR parts.
Can’t be a snowflake though.. lol

The other two that I can think of is the Jard set or the WK set.
Jard will utilize more of your AR15 parts but it looks and feels like a POS.

Wk will use some of the parts, but it also looks like a POS, just to a lesser degree than the Jard.

True North had a pic up of gen2 wk? Or similar rifle and it looked alright to.

Not a hijack. I'm also looking for options. I was looking at some Pistol Carbines, but they seem to be open bolt semi auto's and I can just see unintended discharges. No thanks.
