So yeah, like the title says I'm bunked up just down the hill from NORAD's Canadian site.
I'm about to get my PAL, so I'm still an ultra-noob in the Civie world. The only time I handled firearms was during the 3.5 years I spent as Reserve infantry, so I've fired & maintained C6/7/9, Mossberg 500, Remington 870, and the ancient Hi-Powers we have. I hadn't realized how much I was spoiled by the Army until I was handed a Savage 111 while I was at Lefebvre's, made me miss my C7
I'm looking at popping down to Elwood Epps and snagging a Mosin when I get the PAL all squared away. I was considering a 12 gauge, however I'm probably going to end up shooting/hunting with a friend who already has a 12 gauge 3", so it would be redundant. So it came down to a MN and a 111, and I'm a student with a slightly-above minimum wage job.
So, hello, nice to be among like-minded Canadians at last.
