So I've been doing some cruising on the intraweb at work (spare time is rare) and I decided to go to the Aliant website because I have yet to dabble into their powders for finding the ultimate recipe. I shoot .308 for leisure, but I wish to slowly easy into competition shooting.
A powder that caught my eye is their "AR-Comp." To me, and to most this would appear to be a powder suitable to AR style platforms. The product description also mentions that it is suitable for "Other rifles as well." The biggest eye catcher to me is that it boasts of consistent pressures and velocities across temperature extremes.
I dug around futher on their website and found some recipes that would be applicable to me.
Would it be smart to give this a go and see what I can come up with?
