newb question norinco brass

does norinco brass (223/556 and 45) have crimped primer pockets and thus have to be swaged? thanks in advance!

any feedback for using norc brass for plinking purposes? search function as usual doesnt seem to work well for me...

negative ... they do not have to be swaged

I've loaded 1000's and they work just fine

the couple hundred that i've reloading had tighter pockets but i don't believe they were crimped however i just used my lyman chamfer tool to cut a bit of the pocket for easier re priming.

Ditto here. Ran into a bunch that had really tight primer pockets as well. I ended up just reaming 'em all.

I have had a few thousand with very tight primer pockets, but I don't think I swaged many of them.
