I've gotten myself quite a few pistols that i would really like to put some red dots on them but have no idea how about getting mounts for them. I really hope that the only way to do so is to get the gun modified but a pistol smith. I have seen only ONCE here on the EE a grip that extended up into a scope mount. It was for 1911 frames. Now I had it, but something came up and couldnt buy it anymore. Then, my wife told me she had bought me one!! Found out she was talking about a crossman red dot she saw at Canadian tire  . Are there any mounts like the one I saw for sale here in Canada. Not one dealer on this website carries them. I also have Sig frames, Hi-Power frames, Ruger Single Six frames and Taurus PT92 frames that I am interested in getting red dots mounted on. Now of course i dont want all of them with mounts, but at least if I knew where to find or what my options were, i can go ahead and make something happen. Right now, id be happy just to find another Grip style mount for the 1911 again. You would think that this would be a fairly easy thing to find. If there isnt yet some form of rubberized vise style mount that could be clamped down various style of pistols, I think that i may have found myself a million dollar baby. Especially for .22 pistols with no recoil :D I wont say anymore in case i've stumbled upon something here. But any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I am looking for some mounts too.

To see one example of what is out there and how much, try jackweigand.com Some of his hardware is no gunsmith mount while others may require drilling and tapping. Don't know who, if anybody, carries his stuff in Canada though.

Anyone?

It would be a pretty sad day in Canada if not one place carried some kind of grip mount :bsFlag:
