I know its been asked before but I was told by a friend that I must have my reg certificates on me when I transport non-restricted firearms...is this true or is this just for restricted firearms
if and when you get stoped the cop could range from calm and relaxed to coming down on you like a ton of bricks, "technically" your suposed to be able to produce a reg card for every fire arm in your posession, even borrowed ones
ultimate is right. about that in new brunswick the rangers and police hooked up and are asking hunters for reg cards and if you do not have it they will take the gun and then your hunt is over and have to go home get your card go to the police station then your gun might not be there at that time where the officer is out and about. easy way to keep your cards safe get them laminated or get something like what your insurance card is in and keep them in that
I couldn't get a straight answer from the RCMP on this one, best to keep it to paper copies. Make copies, laminate them, and keep them with your range gear.
