Hey i was wondering do i need a rifled barrel to shoot slugs? are all slugs rifled? will a mossberg 500 be able to shoot both slugs and buck shot, or will i need to buy a rifled barrel?
 
Rifled barrel is only really worthwhile with SABOT slugs. Otherwise a smooth barrel using RIFLED slugs will work fine. Don't use buckshot in a rifled barrel cause your pattern will be horrible.
