I just got back from the states and while there I had a chance to drop into a small roadside army surplus tent.
Saw lots of cool looking stuff, but I'm curious what this item is called.

There's 2 M4/AR15 30 round mages held together by a chunk of metal and two screws. Also the package comes with the green rubber pull thing on the mag and clear rubber cover as well as a camo pouch.

Is there a name for this kit ?

The metal piece is a mag coupler
The clear piece is a dust cover
The rubber piece on the bottom is a mag puller(I think that's the proper term)

If you have these(30 round mags) in your possession in Canada (do NOT post on here with a yes) then you had better drill the mags and put a rivet in them so they can't hold more than 5 rounds. If you need to see where to put a rivet pm me and I'll send you a pic showing where to put the rivet. If this is the case thank your lucky stars you didn't get caught bringing it across the border.

Lol. You never know. I just hate to see somebody get busted for that.
The amount of add ons for the AR platform is staggering. There seems to be no limit to the amount of junk you can attach to one. Although those specific add ons are useful. I used to think all that extra stuff on a rifle was good. Now I think less is more. Magpul flip up sights and an eotech is all I have on my AR. But I only use it at the range it's not like my life depends on it. They are a really fun platform to customize to your liking
