Just bought a new CZ 858 and this is my first combloc weapon.

my question has to do with the front sight.

How are they from the factory ? my target shows they are spot on.

Also how the hell do I adjust them with the toothpick it comes with?
For windage do I just hit the drum on the side of the front post? just tap it left or right?

Thanks guy's

Mine (got it 2 weeks ago) came with the target the rifle had been tested on. 6 shot group about the size of my hand at 100m, centered on the center of the target.

Tapping the drum left and right is correct. However this toothpick doesn't ring a bell to me.

Perfect thanks.

also my upper hand guard has some play in it. Is that normal? if I install a NEA upper guard is the fit nice and tight?

Normal.

Yes, it will. Depending on how much you remove/re-install it will wear in, primarily due to the paint wearing. It's threaded for set screws so you can adjust any slop out of it when that happens.

NEA sells the tool to adjust the front sight that I like to recomend the most. Also different ammo will group differently so just cause it was shot and it apeared to be sighted in dosn't mean that it is. If you do not want to buy this tool it is possible to use a needle nose vise grip to adjust the hieght of the front post and also a modified c clap to adjust the windage.
Also peening the drum and using the flat head screw driver to open up the front post sight is the best way to keep the front post from moving but still rendering it able to adjust at a later date when you switch the ammo lot.
